Feillu disappointed over Vuelta non-selection

Brice Feillu of the Vacansoleil team hasn't had a fantastic season so far this year. The Frenchman, a brilliant climber, in fact qualified it as "average so far", explaining that neither his performances, nor the team's race programme are going according to plan in 2010. Vacansoleil suffered a second blow after their non-selection to the Tour de France when it was announced this week that they were not invited to the Vuelta a Espana, either. Brice Feillu looks to shine at Vacansoleil

Brice Feillu, the younger of the Feillu brothers, has just completed his first training camp with his new team Vacansoleil in Benidorm, Spain. The young climber was happy to have met all of his new teammates and has indicated his early season goals, while hoping that his new team will be invited to the sport's biggest races. Feillu hopes for Tour invite

Brice Feillu, the new French climbing sensation, attended the Tour de France presentation in Paris yesterday without knowing whether or not he will be able to race the event next year. Together with his older brother Romain, Feillu has signed with Dutch Continental Pro team Vacansoleil for 2010, and the squad will need an invitation by the Tour organisers to participate.
